Natural Stone Shower Tile

Natural stone gives a shower a spa-like look that lasts. Marble, travertine and onyx all work on shower walls, floors, niches and benches when they are sealed and installed over a proper waterproofing system. This page helps you choose the stone, finish and format, then points you to the right collections.

Choose the stone

Not sure about color? Use the stone color guide.

Choose the finish

Polished stone is glossy and works well on shower walls. For the shower floor, honed and tumbled finishes give more grip underfoot. Browse honed, tumbled and polished tile, or read how the finishes differ.

Choose the format

Plan, seal and care

  1. Work out how much tile you need with the tile calculator, and add extra for cuts.
  2. Order a sample to check color and finish in your own light.
  3. Have a qualified installer waterproof the shower before tiling.
  4. Seal the stone and grout, and keep it sealed. See how to seal marble tile and the shower tile guide.
  5. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner, never vinegar or bleach. See stone care.
