How the stone concierge chooses

Your answers narrow our catalog by use and look. A shower wall can take a polished marble, while a busy floor is better in a honed or tumbled finish, and onyx is best kept to walls. The concierge applies those rules, then shows the best match and two alternatives, each with the matching tile, mosaic and trim.

Samples are $10.99 each with free shipping. Order one of each stone and compare them in your own light before you commit.

How the Stone Concierge works

How does the Stone Concierge pick a stone?

Answer three questions: where the tile is going, the look you want and your budget per square foot. It recommends three natural stones that fit, each with a matching mosaic and trim cut from the same stone.

Which stone tile is best for a shower floor?

Choose a small mosaic in a honed or tumbled finish. The grout lines and the matte surface give more grip underfoot than large polished tiles.

Which stone is best for a kitchen backsplash?

Every marble, travertine and onyx we sell works on a backsplash. Polished marble and onyx show their veining best on walls; tumbled travertine gives a warm, rustic look.

Can I see the stone before I order?

Yes. Every tile and mosaic has a sample. Natural stone varies from piece to piece, so check the sample next to your cabinets and floor in your own light.
