How to install a stone switch plate
Stone plates install differently from plastic ones. Mount the switch or outlet firmly and flush with the wall first, so the plate sits flat and carries no load. Check the fit before you fasten it. Tighten the screws only until they hold the plate, no more than you can turn with your thumbnail. Never pull the switch or outlet into the plate with the screws: that cracks the stone.

Which one do I need? Count the flip switches in the box: one switch needs Single (1-Gang), two need Double (2-Gang), and so on.
Will it match my Walnut Travertine tile? It is cut from the same stone, so it matches in color and finish. Every plate is natural travertine, so veining varies from piece to piece.
